I’ve been posting recently about a HS alum named Michael who collapsed at soccer practiced and was on a ventilator.

He passed away today due to complications from surgery.
Please keep his family, especially his older sister and two younger siblings, in your prayers as they struggle with this sudden loss.

Anonymous said: I would try to stay up a little longer, maybe half an hour. What happens when you wake up during the night? How long are you awake?

Most of the time it’s for the bathroom. But the 5am time is normally just restlessness. Sometime it’s just 20-30 minutes, but other times it’s until my alarm clock goes off at 6.

I may opt to just start getting up when I wake up around 5 and doing some yoga.

"Loving someone is a process. Whether that’s God, or that’s another sticky human, it’s a process. The movies will say it’s something different but— no matter how instant that first draw to someone is— love is a building process. It’s doors unlocking. It’s windows breaking. It’s the discovery of new rooms inside of yourself. It’s the dark. And it’s the light. And it’s dark and light all scrambled into one. At the root of it, it’s a slow, trusting, building process that starts with letting someone in."
